A different take on the Kimono – cropped short in the front and longer in the back. A light breezy cover-up – perfect to wear for a church wedding – or as a sun cover if languishing on a cruise ship in exotic waters!
When creating costumes for operas I try to imagine the chorus as being made up of many different characters, so I give them jobs to do. This makes it far more interesting doing research, but I do have to be careful not to get too carried away and get side tracked on stories!
This is shown over a pleated silk 2 piece in ivory which makes it easier to see how transparent the organza is.
